i came for sugar
cane, out with tar
i can't tell you that
she answered, i don't
know the rules of engage-
ment but bob dylan must
know. that's the blessed
mother bob, she came in
a mayflower moving truck
from austin from new
orleans to new york, to
new hampshire. sometimes
she just stands while i teeter,
sometimes she shares her map
of how she got here. i think
she likes to be around.
that's nice, she's a mother,
like me—a broken dish.
